Review, reflect and refine

The Serenity Prayer:

“Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”  Reinhold Niebuhr 19

Remember, this is your strategy for the responsibility you will take in how you show up in your relationships. This is not a strategy of how you want the other parties(s) to show up and behave!

  • Do your priority intent statements move you closer towards your aspirations for relationships and your purpose?
  • How do your top three values align with your statements of intent? How will manifesting the priority values support your intentions and guide you? Are there values in your top 10 list that would better serve your intent, especially following the Values Gap exercise?
  • Review your statements of intent. Do they represent an action list of tasks? If so, take them up a level to be more strategic by asking yourself why you want to do this action. What do you want to achieve?
  • How do your choices in this pillar affect the choices you made in the Self pillar? What implications will there be for the other pillars?

Update your Personal Strategy Map and Definitions

The iteration in the development of the Personal Strategy Map and Definitions takes time and reflection. As you develop each part of your Personal Strategy Map, consider the impact and implications on the other parts.

Update your Personal Strategy Map with the three statements of intent for the Relationship pillar in the Priorities Perspective.

Use the templates to capture your notes and thoughts on what each priority means to you, allowing yourself to get ‘messy’ while exploring and developing your ideas. Once you’ve got a condensed, crisper version of your intention and definition, enter it into the summary template.
